Jan Koum and Brian Acton( former members of Yahoo) founded WhatsApp on 24 February 2009. They struggle for almost 20 years to bring this forth. Whatsapp was taken over by Facebook Inc. in February 2014 for 19.3 billion USD. The head office of WhatsApp is located in Mountain View, California, USA. Koum originally named the app ‘WhatsApp’ sounding similar to ‘what’s up’.
